As before, I will continue naming our releases after famous, and beautiful (they all are) indigenous Australian birds.
Welcome to Version 2 "Rainbow Lorikeet" of the Classani app! This version of the Classani app is designed to boost the app in a way that is just as beautiful as a lorikeet.
In Version 2 of the Classani app, I wanted to do something big, I decided it was time to get rid of our old approach that you need a separate account for every single organisation, but instead, now you only need one account, and that's it. You can join organisations by using a randomly generated code, like the invite links, but less hassle.
This also means users won't have to fill in a form every time they join an organisation! You can also now simultaneously be in multiple organisations as a staff, an OAM or a student!
E-mails are no longer used to verify you. We will use TOTPs. Learn more
Security is one of the most important factors of an application nowadays and Classani cannot fall behind. Although not impenetrable, it provides you with more assurance that your information is safe with us.
Classani will now ask you to verify your E-mail address when:
You sign up.
You attempt to sign in with a different IP address.
You attempt to reset your password (forgot password)
Classani will never send you spam E-mails!
Say goodbye to having to get on your computer all the time, now use Classani on the go, on any modern web browser, the same functionality on the computer, except now just in your pockets!
Unfortunately, web services are not cheap these days, and I cannot afford to run Classani like a charity (I'm still a student). To further accelerate my ADHD-fuelled development journey and also to help my wallet, I've decided to run subscriptions.
Now, as the domain suggests (.org) and my mission to empower education in the digital age, my main goal is never to make profits. I want to create a website that can fulfill the demands of everyone, which means the base features of the website will always be free, there may be some limits over size (as they take resources to store and process), and some sophisticated or resources-heavy features may be locked without a subscription.
But ultimately, this is to ease the financial stress that I have as a student. I am willing to offer concession prices to those who are more in need, see the criteria here. Please do not hesitate to ask if you are eligible!

For better accessibility for people with smaller devices, I have decided to make our checkboxes larger! You can now click on it more easily.
Additionally, a See Details button has been added to the modal which appear when you edit a Notification, so staff can see what the students are seeing or preview the notification.
Also, some buttons have been rearranged to provide a better formatting and overall uniformity.
Thanks to the open-source Quill rich text editor, the site is now rich (in terms of texts). You can now, for content in Notifications and descriptions in Assessments underline, bold, colour texts and embed videos, links and code blocks.
Quizzes are not yet supported on mobile. The mobile compatibility will come in a future update.
Introducing Quizzes! Now, you can write questions into quizzes for your students to complete. You can use LaTeX to spice up your maths equations. Collect responses from your students and mark them live and give feedback for every question. You can also impose time limits and students will be timed when they complete the quiz.

Quizzes, when saved or when your students submit a response, the system will automatically mark Multiple Choice and Short Answer (when enabled) questions.
For multiple choices, if the students select the correct choice they will get the marks. For short answer questions, the system will calculate the similarity of the provided answer and the expected answer. Then, based on the word counts of the expected answer, generate the similarity requirement, they will get partial marks if they match at least 60% of the similarity requirements. Otherwise, they will get 0 marks if they meet below that, and above will grant full marks.
After strong recommendations from peers and users, I have decided to relabel most text labels within Classani that does not require urgent attention from the yellow ALERT type to the blue INFO type. The new type will show more often as instructions and information that does not require urgent attention, such as successful operations and so on.

You can now send E-mails to students if a new notification is created, grades are published or edited, and if an assessment is published.
To enable this, you must select the appropriate "send E-mails" option in the "Manage Assessment" modal or the modal when you create a notification.
Classani is more stable as in 2.4 many backend improvements are implemented, and stability is improved.
I am proud to announce Classani Connect! Which means we are bringing Classani to your favourite apps and platforms.
Google, you can now sign in with Google, and your Google profile picture will be your user profile picture on Classani.
Discord, one of the most popular communication apps in the modern age. We will begin with an app (or bot) on Discord that allows seamless integration with your experience on Classani, you can also now sign in with Discord.
(2.6) Microsoft, you can now sign in with Microsoft.
In the future, this will allow for integration with other apps like Microsoft OneDrive to upload files and more. More integrations are coming, stay tuned!

The option to change your E-mail address has been moved to the Security tab of User Settings. This means that you must verify your password before you can change your E-mail.
This feature is not yet available on mobile. You will still see the legacy schedule on mobile.
This feature only applies to the Homepage, schedules from subjects will still display the legacy schedule.
The new look will not be displayed if there are not enough sessions in one day.
The Schedule now has a brand-new look! This paves way for an upcoming feature that will allow more advanced & manual scheduling! It will accurately display the schedule hour by hour throughout the day.
For organisation administrators, you can now index subjects by the members within the subject. You can also see more information on how to operate the searches.
You must now set your country or region.
If you sign up with a connection platform, the location of your Classani account will be determined by the IP address used during sign-up.
This mainly paves way for future updates.
You can upload icons for your Organisation and your Account. In your Account and Organisation settings.
These icons will be moderated.
Most texts submitted will now be moderated for profanity, toxicity, illicit drugs and other inappropiate content against our Terms of Service.
They will be automatically rejected. Bypassing this is against our Terms of Service.
You will now have a better experience setting your Organisation up, this also paves way for future updates.
We have now released Shared Cloud Folders! Each subject in your Organisation can use this feature and share, publish, and upload files up to 120 Megabytes (per file).
Cloud Storage capacity may be different for plans.

For new years, we bring to you subject points! You can now grant students in your subjects points and for them to see a leaderboard!
For this function to work, you will have to turn it on under the Points page. This feature is completely optional.
We have changed the way our modals work fundamentally and you should start to notice more consistent modals and them with better spacing overall.
We have also reduced the amount of redirects you may experience when submitting a form. We have also optimised our server infrastructure to deliver a more secure, end-to-end encrypted experience.
Classani will now ask for you to use TOTPs instead of an E-mail to verify your identity when signing in from a different IP address.
You will be prompted to set up TOTPs when visiting the site.
You can now customise how Classani looks like. Configure this under Account Settings > Themes.
